Search for or Offer a Lift
If you are looking for a lift, you will find the lift offers through "Search for Lifts" in the menu. There you can search for your desired journey, and find the details to contact the driver by telephone or by email.
If you would like to offer a lift, you must register with us first through the "Register" link in the menu. Registration is completely free. You can then offer your lift through the menu option "New Journey". Subsequent changes (deleting an offer, changing the time of departure, etc.) can be made through the menu link "My Account: Adverts".

As a passenger you need to agree important details like the meeting point and the petrol contribution amount with the driver, before the journey. The contact details for the driver will be in the lift offer page.
As a driver you will be contacted directly by interested passengers by telephone or email. Together you decide on the meeting point and the petrol contributions. With rideshare.co.uk you can save money and be environmentally friendly at the same time. A trip from London to Edinburgh (400 miles) depending on the vehicle will cost you approximately £60 in petrol. But if you take 2 passengers with you, and they each pay £20 (see Cost Calculator), it reduces your petrol cost as the driver by 67% to £20. Not to mention saving the environment at the same time.
